Ben Friedlander – BCom

Graduating from the University of Auckland in 2012 with a Bachelor of Commerce, Ben’s goal is to keep client objectives top of mind when managing projects, mitigating risk and delivering positive outcomes that consistently exceed expectations.
Ben started his professional career as an advertising executive, however, in 2013 he decided to follow his childhood dream of becoming an actor. This prompted a move to New York where he studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Upon returning to New Zealand and continuing to pursue acting, Ben worked for Friedlander & Co as a Law Clerk where he assisted with conveyancing and due diligence for commercial and residential property transactions. During this time Ben’s passion for business and deal-making was ignited. In 2015, Ben decided to focus solely on his professional career joining Elevation Capital (funds management) as an Analyst, where he continued to develop his skill set—specifically business modelling, valuation, and due diligence.
Ben joined ASAP Finance in 2018. He saw this move into the property sector as an opportunity to build upon the knowledge gained throughout his professional career, and apply it practically this time, by providing development funding solutions for clients across NZ.
Outside of work, Ben maintains a keen interest in sports and has represented Auckland in several codes, winning regional and national titles in Equestrian and Rowing. He also spent a year travelling and playing semi-professional rugby in Belfast, Ireland. Ben never relinquished his love for the arts and in his spare time enjoys playing the piano and the guitar.
