Mark Brooks – BBIM, GRADDIPCOM, CA

Head of Finance

 

Mark brings 20 years of experience across audit, advisory and executive leadership, with a strong focus on financial governance and systems and performance improvement.

After completing a commerce degree at the University of Auckland, he began his career at KPMG (where he qualified as Chartered Accountant), working on large and complex audit engagements, including time within the firm’s technical IFRS team and a secondment to the Netherlands. He then spent a number of years working at McGrathNicol in Auckland and TalbotHughesMcKillop (now AlixPartners) in London, leading restructuring, due diligence and performance improvement engagements for banks, boards and shareholders.

Mark then spent over seven years as Director and CFO of CDK Stone NZ, where he helped lead the business through a period of strategic repositioning and growth. Alongside leading the finance function, he oversaw IT, HR and operations, implemented new systems and supported disciplined margin and cashflow management.

At ASAP Finance, Mark leads the finance function working closely with the executive team to ensure strong capital and control oversight, supporting ASAP Finance’s sustainable growth.

In his spare time, Mark loves to spend time with his young family (including several pets), with playing, coaching and watching sport a major focus!
